I. INTRODUCTION

 Church involvements are necessary for us christians to be connected to our

loving Father and to synergize with the community in one faith. Through the
“Eucharist”, the people of God will become celebrants of God’s love,
particulary in the real presence of Jesus Christ through the Bread (Body) and
Wine (Blood), and may able to communicate the invisible, yet divine God
through the fervency of prayer.
 We, as Paulinians and as exemplary models of God’s creation, have
conducted a significant survey on examining and determining “Paulinian
Student’s Participation in the Holy Eucharist (Mass)” through reflective
questionnaires. The essence of our findings is to recommend and help
Paulinians, in their specific department to build consistency, fervency and
religious membership in the eucharistic celebrations and occasions inside or
outside the school by the recommendations after achieving the overall
results.

 The interpretation of the results will be in a form of bar graphs (initial

results) and a pie chart (final result), which would be easy to examine and
determine Paulinian’s participation towards the Holy Mass. Through
quantitative analysis of data, it would be easier to weigh the numeral results
of a certain department, based on the given question. It is pleasing to see the
results in these form of graphics, and would be easy in the process of
identifying which department have exemplified active eucharistic
participation in the school and in their parishes.
 We ought to be considerate in the datas that we’ve gathered, and would not
critic any department but to evaluate the student’s involvement in the
Church for the betterment!

 The accumulation of tally results (QUANT) in each question is through the sum of the
respondents’ rates of frequency (1 – 5);

 The Percentage (P) is derived from dividing the QUANT by 15 (Overall Rating of 3
respondents per question) and multiplying it by 100.
 The Total Percentage (TOTAL P) is derived by the sum of all P (except Q 1.3).
 The Overall Percentage (OVERALL P) is formulated by dividing the TOTAL P by 8 (8
questions left due to Q 1.3)  which is the “General Interpretation of the survey” that
determines Paulinian Students’ Participation in the Holy Eucharist.
 To generalize accurately, we have specified Q#1, Q#2 & Q#3 separately and created
graphical representations to identify student participation based on a specific
question. We statisticized the data that we gathered through Bar Graphs in different
colors (representation of each department) to enable to visualize clearly the
quantitative results of our analysis.
 Afterwards, we created a Pie Chart to conclude all the specifications in our “Bar
Graphs” and to generalize the entire results through the overall percentages (%) in
each department.

V. CONCLUSION

 The Overall Percentages have depicted the active involvement of

Paulinians toward the Eucharistic celebrations, occassions and organizations

inside and outside the school campus. In general terms based on the pie

chart, Paulinians have passed, in accordance with the percentage of

Eucharistic participation. Thus, Paulinians are really active participators of

the Mass. But due to different percentages, it seems that students in each

COLLEGE OF ARTS & EDUCATION

department have their own consistency & fervency of participation, which

differs from the other departments. In the chronological order of

participation: 1. Senior High School (75%); 2. College of Arts & Education

(73%); 3. College of Nursing (72%); 4. Junior High School (71%); 5.

College of Business & Information Technology (52%), there are really

differences in their percentages, which would specifically conclude on the

eucharistic involvement of students in each department.

VI. RECOMMENDATIVE ANALYSIS

 The preponderance of Senior High School students, according to the result is an
exemplification that these Paulinians are very active in the Mass or toward
Eucharistic involvements. Based on subjective analysis, the population of Senior High
Paulinians is greater than other departments of SPUD. We subjectively conclude that
it may be due to the larger population or not. But the essence is that they have active
participation based on quantitative analysis inspite of their population. They only need
25% to be called as an completely active participator of the Eucharist, and this is
excellent!
 The College of Arts & Education, College of Nursing & Junior High School
Paulinians also did their part in being an active participator of the Eucharist, but have
lesser percentage than the Senior High School students. We conclude that in these
percentages, this is the average level due to the reason that Paulinians are expected to
be Christ-centered and active involvers of Eucharistic celebrations and religious

events. They only need 27% - 29% to be called as completely active participators of
the Eucharist, and this is good!
 The College of Business and Information Technology is verbally fair in accordance
with their percentage of 52%. Despite of the quite amount of percentage, they have
still passed or have reached the half of the whole. Maybe due to limited participation
is the reason of their percentage, but they have passed, and it is not quantity which
defines but the quality of the students in their participation. They need 48% to be
called as completely active participators of the Eucharist, and this is fair!
