About The Baker’s Dozen

We started The Baker’s Dozen in 2013 with our love for sourdough, the pate ferment, the culture of what makes
a bread sing. We wanted to learn and perfect the art of sourdough and share this love with our fellow
Mumbaikars. We started this company with 4 bakers who knew nothing other than the fact that we were going
to learn and love our sourdough. We had a small kitchen in Dadar and sold from a store in Prabhadevi.
8 years and 16 outlets later still, each team member of our production team has imbibed the company’s motto of
producing honestly delicious, fresh and healthy products to ensure each customer’s trust in the brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Supply Chain Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The role covers the entire gamut of end to end Supply Chain covering areas such as planning,
warehouse, distribution and logistics

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establish and lead execution of operation strategy; reduce supply chain complexities
2. Manage all supply chain related activities to ensure accurate delivery of products in all sales
channels
3. Forecast demand and share requirement to production on quarterly, monthly and weekly basis
4. Minimizes sales returns/damaged goods and short expiry goods by monitoring returns,
developing a depletion plan and avoiding overstocking the points of sales
5. Develop and maintain an excellent rapport with key stakeholders such as clients, suppliers,
community organisations, regulatory bodies etc
6. Making inventory plans, monitoring current stock and FG level, resource allocation as per
budget etc.
7. Supervise logistics from plant to each city warehouse to ensure in-time deliveries
8. Supervise intra-city day-to-day logistics as per distribution plan which includes creating a
daily dispatch plan, transportation of FGs to retail stores and ensure timely delivery to retail
stores
9. Overseeing warehouse Management, ensuring statutory compliances are met and optimizing
warehouse operations
10. Monitoring performance of SCM & logistics operations by analyzing parameters like
transportation costs, damages, TAT, order fulfilment rate etc.
11. Proactively identify process gaps in SCM & logistics operations and find opportunities for
optimization by continuously monitoring SCM Metrics
12. Liaising and convincing external stakeholders like transportation service providers, dealers
etc. about the terms of engagements.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Skills:
a. The person must exhibit strong commercial and contractual awareness and excellent
negotiation skills
b. Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with staff, clients and
vendors are essential
c. Strong in MIS related skills such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets etc.

c. Positive approach to problem solving
3. Educational Level
a. Graduation: Any specialization
b. Post-Graduation (Not Mandatory): PGDM/ MBA in Operations/Supply Chain
4. Experience
a. Preferably be from FMCG or retail background
