Statement of the Problem

This pandemic caused a big impact to people’s lives both mentally and physically, that includes the life
of students. Due to a sudden change in the student’s environment it is unavoidable that students will
experience stress, pressure, anxiety and isolation. Worrying if what they learn is not enough for the
future, limited resources, and the loss of internet connection as factor that can greatly affect the online
class, one cannot participate during quizzes, examinations, classes and fail to submit the projects on
time.

This study was conducted to evaluate nursing students' views on the COVİD‐19 pandemic and their
perceived stress levels. We aimed to determine the effect of the current pandemic on Negros Oriental
State University Bachelor of Science in Nursing 3rd and 4th year student of their learning and association
of their stress levels and coping strategies particularly during the isolation time.
