Job Roles Whose Demand Will Increasingly Rise by 2022
I read an interesting and thought-provoking report titled “Future Jobs” from World Economic Forum.
The report has predicted 9 jobs which will be trending by 2022.
This is an attempt to provide details about the job roles which all of us have to understand and start
becoming skilled to have a continuous career growth.
Let’s see them one by one:
1. Data Analysts and Data Scientists
A Data Analyst interprets data into information which can provide ways to improve a
business, thus affecting business decisions making.
Data Analysts often make recommendations about the methods and ways in which a company
acquires and analyses data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems.
Job Profile: A Data Analyst job description should include, but not be limited to:
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and prepare reports.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other
strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data
systems.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance
indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
In a Software Development team:
A Software Application Developers develop applications, often referred to as apps,
such as word processing programs, data storage programs, and spreadsheet programs that
make it possible for computers to complete given tasks and to solve problems.
A Software Analyst is the person who studies the software application domain,
prepares software requirements, and specification (Software Requirements Specification)
documents.
Job Profile of a Sales Professional: Sales professionals are responsible for managing and
accessing the effectiveness of a company’s sales representatives and sales teams. They establish
sales goals, work with other departments to learn more about products or services and develop
strategies for acquiring new clients.
Big Data Specialists are responsible for ingesting and transforming data in all forms, varying
from totally unstructured log entries to database table snapshots, to bring them in a format
that the Data Scientists can use to produce actionable insights.
Job skills: Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, NoSQL, Machine learning and Data Mining,
Statistical and Quantitative Analysis, SQL, Data Visualization, General Purpose
Programming language
Digital transformation specialists look to how they can leverage existing and upcoming
technologies to enable organizations to stay ahead or compete with new entrants who will be
initiating these changes.

forward, every individual need to schedule a Time-table with specific number of days for
continuous learning.”
