20F 6056 M5 Assignment

Your project is the creation of a plan to finish off a house that is considered to
be a "warm shell".  You inherited a wonderful 160 square metre house from
an eccentric relative, and you have $190,000 as your work package budget,
and exactly 22 work days to finish it and move in, or you lose the house and
the $190,000.  A warm shell means the house has been built including
electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and in this case the kitchen and
bathroom have counters and cabinets.

What's missing?  The walls and ceilings have to be painted or tiled or

panelled, flooring has to be installed (type of flooring varies between kitchen
and bath, and other rooms), electrical fixtures are needed (e.g. ceiling lights),
interior doors are needed, interior doorknobs, kitchenware (plates, utensils,
pots), appliances for the kitchen and laundry room, plumbing fixtures for the
kitchen and bathrooms (e.g. sinks, taps, toilets, bathtubs, shower heads).

What about the furniture you want, artwork on the walls or tables,
kitchenware, internet service installation, electronic entertainment (e.g. TV),
etc.  This is your chance in a lifetime to have a home finished exactly the way
you want, a chance to go shopping like never before.  And you can use
contractors to perform labour (which they will charge you for), but contractors
cannot acquire materials or items for you, that's your job.  You'll also have
expenses, for example, if there is a delivery fee for a piece of furniture, that
would be considered an expense.

Note, your project is to create the plan to finish the warm shell, not to build
the warm shell.
