The following agenda is discussed in the ASEW coordination meeting.
1. EXPO arrangement in KPU

1. KPU chancellor welcomed to the participants of meeting and expressed on the advantages of
Afghanistan sustainable energy week (ASEW). Although mentioned due to the wide spread of
Covide-19 pandemic, security themes and ministry of higher education decree all universities are
closed and probably the new semester of KPU may begin on 20 Sour. Furthermore, the security
issues are the main matter rather than pandemic that are treating us as we had bad experience from
Kabul University and none of security organs are granting the responsibilities of providing security
as we had multiple meeting with high-profile security officials they ban all the big conferences
and events in KPU until the security situation is getting better. He concluded, it would be better to
find an alternative option for organizing (ASEW2021) if the security situation gets better we have
no problem, but for now 90% it’s impossible to organize the event in KPU compass.
2. Rohullah Arya mentioned the benefits of ASEW and included, in this event all the companies
have to showcase their RE products and the public should get an idea of renewable energy.
Furthermore, we will discuss the KPU security issues with GIZ to have an alternative option and
flexibility on the (ASEW2021) event and its schedule.
3. Maroof Ziaey considered to the KPU dissatisfaction and security issues which is the major
problem then render the AREU TOR for EXPO arrangement, the arranging company provided 70
booths for the exhibition and categorized in three level with different cost and three type of
sponsorship: for AREU member companies per booth would cost 250$, none AREU member
companies 500$ and for international companies 550$ would be collected, some of those cost
would be paid to EXPO organizing company, some of them to the AREU management and the
remain amount would be paid to the KPU account if the event is organized in KPU.
4. Mujtaba Eshanzada Due to securities issues have been applied on KPU therefore, it is
approximately 90% impossible to conduct ASEW here in KPU, so I recommend it if we could go
for alternative option like ministry compass, Arg or Intercontinental Hotel.
