High Speed Shutter Doors - Scope of Work
To replace the existing finishing, CRM, HRM & Re-melt shutter doors with Rapid shutter doors.
Contractor will provide all tools and equipment for performing the required work safely, efficiently and
effectively.

Specifications & dimensions:
• Door Leaf material – Steel (Aluminum acceptable).
• Door leaves to be insulated.
• Doors to include transparent viewing sections, double glazed at minimum and scratch
resistant. These sections are to be located 1.2 to 1.5 m above floor level with a minimum
overall height of 300mm.
• Minimum travel speed 2 m/sec.
• Self-supporting Door construction with leaf counterbalance.
• Emergency hand chain for manual operation.
• Brush or durable rubber strips to be included in guides.
• Door to operate using existing power supply of 3-Phase 450VAC @ 50Hz.
• Push Button control – Momentary pushbutton operation for Open/ Stop/ Close (Separate
button for each operation) with Emergency Stop pushbutton and lockable isolation switch.
Electrical controls to be located in control cabinet with minimum IP54 rating.
• Two way floor Induction loop kit – Floor Loops used for door opening upon detection of
vehicle. Door to close after time delay of 5 seconds (field adjustable down to 2
seconds) from loop detectors being clear.
• Non-contact safety obstruction sensors in the form of a safety light grille, covering a
minimum height of 2m, to be integrated in the frame for preventing door from closing, or
re-open door while closing, in case of obstructions in door field of travel.
• Safety pressure edge sensors along the bottom of the doors to be included for preventing
doors from closing, or re-open doors while closing, in case of obstructions in door field of
travel.
• All equipment and hardware should be suitable for industrial operation and environmental
conditions. Any equipment, hardware or sensors exposed to direct sunlight should be
adequate and fit for purpose.
• Resistance to wind load - DIN EN 12424 Class 4.
• Maximum Operating Temperature not less than 60 degC
• All equipment, hardware and electronics to be supplied by single door manufacturer. Any
equipment procured from separate vendors to be certified in writing by door manufacturer
for intended purpose.
• Drawings, material data sheets and operational manuals should be included in scope of
supply.
• Hormann high speed door model 7030PU or equivalent.

Minimum one year Warranty against defects from date of handover for all equipment,
installation and workmanship to be provided by contractor with onsite support and
repairs. Onsite support response time not to exceed 24 hours from time of call-out.
4) LOCATION OF WORK:
Special areas classified as Industrial, are covered in this scope of work and the following
shall apply; Contractor must comply with all Safety Procedures while working in such
areas, by coordinating with EHS coordinator of that area.
Risks assessment and method of statements for the activities should be provided
immediately after awarding the job by the contractor to be reviewed and approved.
Contractor must adhere to all PPE plant requirements at all times. Normal PPE and
safety gear for contractor personnel will be under contractor scope as follows:
• Safety Hard Hat/ Helmet
• Safety Glasses
• Safety Shoes
• Ear protection
• Standard protective clothing with reflective bands. Reflective vest is
also acceptable if clothing does not have reflective bands.
• Safety Harnesses when required for working at height.
• Special PPE specific to the working conditions will be provided by client.
• Manpower must have the ability to work in industrial environments, work at
height, work in confined spaces, etc.
6) PERMITS:
Must attend all needed induction courses as required by the respective EHS coordinators.
All work permits to be done by the contractor by coordinating with EHS coordinator.
