1. CAN:  can is most often used to express a person or thing’s ability to do
something. (CAN es a menudo utilizado para expresar la habilidad de una
persona o cosa para hacer algo.)

We use This / These for things near us. (Utilizamos This /


these para cosas cerca de nosotros) Example: This is my
camera and these are my gloves. (Esta es mi camara y
estos son mis guantes)
We use That / Those for things far away from
us. (Utilizamos That / Those para cosas que están más
lejos de nosotros.) Example: That is my scarf
and those are my jeans. (Esa es mi bufanda y esos son
mis jeans.)

We use there is (singular) / there are (plural) to say that is located
in the place :(Usamos There is /are para decir que se encuentra
localizado en el lugar.
Example: There is a book on the desk. ( Hay un libro sobre el escritorio.) /
There are manybooks on the shelf. (Hay muchos libros sobre el estante)
We use there isn’t (singular) / there aren’t (plural) to say that isn’t
located in the place.
Example: There isn’t a book on the desk. (No hay un libro sobre el
escritorio)/ There aren’t any books on the shelf. (No hay ningunos libros
sobre el estante)
We use Is there…? (singular) / Are there...? (plural)  to ask whether
is located in the place or exists:
Example: Is there a book on the desk? / Are there any books on the shelf?
