Z A M E N gathers a collection of handmade pieces from Tunisia.
Every piece is handpicked and fits inside any contemporary home.
We work directly with local artisans to ensure good quality and competitive prices.

Zamen started with the idea to combine design and craftsmanship. For now, the company
is in its first phase. We only showcase treasures that we personally handpick and make
them available worldwide in order to give back to local artisans and share with you our
love for handmade pieces.

Ceramic
All our ceramic pieces are made
in the heart of the Medina of
Tunis in the workshop of M. Hedi.
Each piece has a unique pattern
and color combination. We can
offer custom made pieces with
specific colors and Patterns. Let
us know if you have specific
ideas.

Each piece is handmade on a

potter's wheel, handpainted
then glazed.
Pottery
Pottery pieces are hand-
made by M. Adel and his
wife Chadelia in their work-
shop on the island of
Djerba, specifically in Guel-
lala, known for its natural
pottery.

The Tunisian based potter

only use natural material.
To get that deep charcoal
black color as showcased
in the photo below, artisans
mix the clay with olive
pomade (the leftover paste
after the pressing of olives
for virgin olive oils).
In some other cases Clay
can be mixed with either
sweet rain water or salty
sea water in order to get an
ombre effect
Olive Wood
Olive wood pieces are handcraved using
100% olive wood sourced from Tunisia. We
don’t use any chemical or toxic varnishes.
Each piece has a thin layer of beewax to
maintain the surface and prevent it from
drying out. We also recommentd to wipe the
spoon with olive oil now and then.
Wicker
Whicker product are mostly handwoven
from dried Tunisian palm leaves.
A variety of product are offered, Classic
sturdy baskets, place mats, trivet etc.
Wool
We only get pieces that are
made with 100% Tunisian wool.
Each piece is handwoven.
Pieces are soft, and they get
softer with use and wash.
We prioritize natural dyes, we
are currently working to make
the whole line exclusively made
from natural materials.

We offer reversible blankets,

pillow cases, carpets (Kilim) and
other variety.
Fouta
100% cotton Tunisian fouta is known for its
honeycomb pattern.
Hand woven from the world famous quality
of Tunisian cotton with hand-knotted tassels
on traditional looms. It’s used in Turkish baths
as hammam towels for centuries
Mosaic
Carthage / Tunisia gathers one
of the biggest collection of
mosaic in the world.
We select Mosaic pieces that
are hand assorted using tunisian
marble stones.
Custum pattern can also be
made.
