Task B-Analysis of an existing organization from the perspective of a

System Analyst

1. write a short description of the chosen organization/department and

the information system currently used. Focus should be on the

business processes accomplished through Information Systems in the

organization. The student must write the description in their own

words not exceeding 250 words with suitable citation of the

organization and diagrams if applicable.

Description of Organization:

Amazon is one of the top E-commerce conglomerates with a vast business and client base.

Amazon uses specific information systems in its enterprise processes to achieve good benefit

through increased efficiency in the compilation, storing, and analytics of their clients’

personal data. This study takes to evaluate the executive information systems applied by

Amazon and how they impact its industry process evaluation through data purchase and

managing in its value franchise. A detailed explanation of the information systems in

rapports of interoperability with diverse devices, analysis of how it recovers business courses

to indorse competitive benefit, the chances and dangers of applying the business information

systems, and the subjects in the overall application of the schemes in dispersing the decision-

making courses will be the key emphasis of this paper. The Amazon transaction handling

system is a key element of the Business Information System, that permits clients to make

acquisitions tightly and effectively. Distinct elements such as 1-click buy and secure, coded,

credit card disbursement make this information administration system highly dependable and

simple. The Amazon information management schemes are also combined with singular
functionalities such as the brainy suggestion system that examines the earlier search

questions of a client to make a proposal for similar pieces through a procedure known as

data drilling .This makes the scheme highly communicating thus subsequent in augmented

customer gratification. The data on customer requests is handled by the quantity chain

management system that is incorporated into the compensation system and the web uses.

Amazon’s cloud processing service recognized as Amazon Web Services was established as a

into a prominent cloud processing business’s, which was began about ten years ago, is

expanding quickly. It created a income run rate of $10 billion in 2015 and added more than

50% to the corporation's operational margin in 1Q16. The firm said that AWS is better than

Amazon.com was at the similar age.

Amazon started Marketplace about 15 years ago. It offered third-party retailers with entry to

procedures. This can also take the lead to the occasion to find evidence that may have been

Finding objectives is also an essential element of the first phase. The political analyst must

first find out what the company is attempting to do. Then the forecaster will be bright to see

whether some facet of evidence systems products can help the company reach its goals by

tackling specific difficulties or opportunities. The individuals engaged in the first phase are

the customers, analysts, and structures managers organizing the project. Events in this phase

comprise of interrogating user management, reviewing the knowledge found, assessing the

extent of the development, and detailing the results. The production of this phase is a

viability report including a difficulty description and reviewing the objectives.

Phases are important in system development life cycle as it helps convert a concept project

into a practical and completely operating system. The SDLC, separately from covering the

scientific aspects of an intelligence system’s development, also includes events such as

procedure and process expansion, change in managing, user knowledge, strategy
