Impacts of COVID-19 on the Environment:

Air Quality:

Since the lockdown was placed in practice in several nations, people made fewer travels.
And sectors have been closed down and not permitted to work. This, in fact, led to a
substantial reduction in air pollution, as there was a marked decrease in nitrous oxide
emissions.

Water Quality:

Since there were no boats on the rivers and lakes, whether they were fishermen or pleasure
ones, the water had cleared up. And the seas are recovering and there is stability in marine
life.

Effect on Wildlife:

In the case of fish, there has been a decrease in fishing during the lockdown, which means
that the fish biomass will increase after over-fishing has almost destroyed it. Other than
that, animals have been seen roaming freely around where they would not dare to go once.

Effect on Vegetation:

As there is cleaner air and water, and since there is no human intervention again, plants
grow stronger.

The Earth’s Ozone Layer Shows Improvement:

In light of the coronavirus epidemic, with more and more people remaining indoors in the
midst of full quarantine, the situation is proving advantageous for the ozone layer of the
Planet.
