Mr. Bruce Ackerman

Executive Editor
The New York Times Company
620 Eighth Avenue
New York, CA 10018

Dear Mr. Ackerman:

I am a philosopher and writer of Universidad de Los Andes and I am writing to apply

for the Writer in Social Problems at The New York Times posted on
www.nytco/writer.com. I am very interested in this kind of job and your great
company could be benefited with my knowledge, experience and books.

I am excited about politics and social problems in Europe and America, especially
Italy, Germany, France and United States. All of the books that I have made are
about social problems like: justice, equality, freedom, war and constitutions. I studied
philosophy and literature at Universidad de Los Andes during 7 years and my books
were published from 2010 to 2019 where three of them were translated in four
differents languages, including english. Your emphasis on “free thinker and analyzer
to be understable” is consistent with the training and experience that I have received
as writer. I would do your team better. I am sure that I can do it in a famous company
as New York Times.

In addition to my experience as writer, I was professor in Political Philosophy at

Universidad de Los Andes during 5 years where that university gave me the ability to
teach and share easily to others my ideas. Also, I am researcher part time at Center
of Social Problems for United States and Latin America where I have made almost,
five research in human behavior of american people. Two of the researches, even
were cited in the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences of 2012 whose winner
and author is Daniel Kahneman and his research and book was called: “Think fast
and slow” and is a best-selling american book.

Thanks for your consideration, I really want to be in your team soon and I hope the
opportunity to speak with you in person.

Sincerely,

Angello J. Peña B.
