GENERAL OBJECTIVE
1) Identify Talent.
3
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE
1) To learn how to conduct a football competition.
2) To gain some experience in assuming the role of a referee during a football game.
3) To develop team spirit among myself and the rest of the organizers in order to have a successful
competition.
comfortable and competent. Physical Education teaches many aspects of future life, health and also
helps with the relief of stress. Physical Education provides many career options and many of these areas
are unexplored due to the fact that many persons overlook the field of Physical Education.
There are many benefits that can be derived from physical education. These include:
2) Build self-discipline.
An official who watches a game or match closely to ensure that the rules are adhered to and (in
some sports) to arbitrate on matters arising from the play.
I chose to become an official (referee) because it will help me to gain some experience in the field of
officiating, which can be used in the future. After being exposed to refereeing, I hope to learn many new
things, and will be capable of using them in the future. Being a referee will teach me how to cope with
pressure and how to be in control and responsible. This will also enable me to get another view of the

3) Develop my knowledge of refereeing and the pressure faced with every decision made.

IN COMPLETING THE SBA)
1) The field was to be marked the day before the competition but the rain delayed the process and
2) Some of the teams were dismissed from class later than scheduled so games started late.
3) There were teams that showed up with the same kits (jerseys) of the same color so bibs had to
be used.

REPORT ON COMPETITION
It is always the aim or objective when organizing an event to hope that it will be a success. The students
of 115-11 organize the Grade 9 Champions Cup and information regarding the competition is as follow.
Overall the competition was a huge success for all participating party. All grade 9 classes entered
competition. The competition was entertaining and intensely contested by all teams. Matches started at
1pm and ended at approximately 4:30pm. Everyone gave their all to be victorious but when the dust
was settled it was grade 911 who was celebrating, 910 was second and 97 third. Grade 911 was one of the
main “under-dogs” coming into the tournament but never saw themselves second to anyone and was
therefore successful. More on the competition can be seen in the appendix where the fixtures, results,
posters and pictures are listed.

RECOMMENDATION
Even though our competition was relatively successful there are a few things that can be changed in the
future to ensure even a better competition. These things include:
1) Finalizing starting times of matches with teachers so that the players are excused from class on
time as scheduled.
2) Deciding on kits from before the completion starts and have all team captain to show a sample
of team kits to avoid color clash.
3) Bordering the field of play so as to avoid spectators going onto the field.
4) Football field should be designed to suit the number of players involved in the game.
5) Try as best as possible to have competition in summer.
