COMPLEMENT OF PAST TENSE


AFFIRMATIVE The Past Simple tense
does not change for the
third person singular:
■ REGULAR VERBS:
We usually make the positive by adding '-ed' to the infinitive. For
example, 'play' becomes 'played‘, ‘listen’ becomes ‘listened’,
‘cook’ becomes ‘cooked’

before the subject, and the infinitive after it.
