News from Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center
From the Managing Director
Twins. She is pregnant with twins
and her and her boyfriend are seriously
considering an abortion. They already
have a young child at home. If they can
get her to us, would we talk to her? Yes,
a thousand times yes! So we did what
had to be done — we prayed, we had
our Board praying, we scheduled the
perfect person to come and talk to this
young lady.
I would love to say that there is a happy
ending, that life prevailed, life was chosen, and
now these babies are being raised in a loving
home. But the truth is, I have no idea what
happened. We never received the anticipated
follow-up phone call. They never came in. I have
no idea if this young mom chose abortion. I have
no idea if she chose life. I truly have no idea. That
is one of the hardest parts of this ministry, the
not knowing. We may still get a phone call. She
may still come in. The reality is, on this side of
Heaven, we may never know the answers. We
can offer our services, but we certainly cannot
force them on anyone. In this case, it was a parent

He uses us all in different ways. It is awesome

that we have never heard from again. I would
love it if every client that came through our doors
became a success story. There are honestly so
many clients that I think about — I wonder how
they are doing, where life has taken them, if their
situation worked out. At times, we have reached
out to these clients. But again, I have to be ok with
not knowing. I am a planner. I like details. I like to
know the ‘why.’ I like knowing the answers.
Just as we do not always see the answers here
at Lifeline, I feel like that is where we are as a
country as well. This has been a challenging year
in so many ways. And yet, through it all God’s
faithfulness prevails. “But the Lord is faithful.
He will establish you and guard you against the
evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope
without wavering, for he who promised is
faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end; they are
new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 2:22-23
God has used
many people to
speak powerful
things over this
ministry. One
of the jobs we,
as the current
Board, Staff, and
Volunteer base
have, is to pray
into those words, to
call to fruition the
proclamations over this ministry. We are called
to be the light. The same is true for our nation.
We, as Christians, are called to be the light; we
are supposed to pray into every powerful word
spoken over this country. As long as we have done
everything God has asked of us, then we have
to be ok with not knowing. I know that we did
what was asked of us for this young mom who is
pregnant with twins. Do I wish there was more I
could have done? Yes. But, I did what was asked
of me, what was called upon me at that time. I did
what was asked and then I left the rest in God’s
hands for the next seed planter to come along.
