First Nivea Cream 1911

Labels, leaflets of Nivea cream:

The word Nivea comes from Latin word niveus which means snow-white. Nivea has always
tried to keep its products too close to its customers. Nivea cream launched in 1911 and
revolutionised skin care as the first stable oil-and-water-based cream in the world. Nivea
expanded its product portfolio to include deodorant, face creams, sun protection and a men's
line. Nivea was voted Germany's most trusted brand in 2016 in a Reader's Digest survey.
Nivea have already established their name in beauty and skin-care products and is widely
recognised.

Analysing of Nivea cream from the ecological point of view:

Almost all businesses are working towards a greener environment and Beiersdorf is one of the
companies that commit itself to be ecological and socially responsible. As Nivea is under
Beiersdorf, it also promotes products safety and sustainability such as the material that is used
for its packaging. It aims to reduce materials use while maintaining stability and quality.

In terms of the environment, Nivea has always been mindful, but stepped its game up in 2004
with the introduction of a new environmentally-friendly packaging initiative. By designing a
new, environmentally-friendly bottle, Nivea will save 350 tons of plastic per year, reduce
label material usage by 23%, and reduce the number of pallets used by 12,500 per year which,
by extension, saves up to 65,000 gallons of gasoline per year. Additionally, Nivea formulas
use over 80% non-fossil ingredients in formulas an impressive boast that not many.
