From January 15th , I am working in PGCIL RHQ (Patna) Law section as an intern. There were 10
employees in total.

Duties Assigned
My duties at PGCIL are:
a. To listen to the Arbitration proceedings, make notes and ask any doubts I may come across.
b. To read the major amendments made in Arbitration Act 2019.
c. Case Analysis
d. After completion of 1 month internship I have to submit a report in which I have to make a
comparative analysis between 2019 and 1996 Arbitration Act.
e. In another month of internship works will be assigned on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

Learning
Although PGCIL is one of the renowned company of our country but still no one is left with the eye
of law and hence there are many cases filed against PGCIL. Company prefers to solve the matter
with the help of ADR’s to save the time as well as litigation cost. I grabbed this opportunity to
intern under Prashant Mishra sir (Law Officer) and to learn the better meaning of arbitration. As of
now the country is changing and the meaning of litigation is changing, people instead of wasting a
long years on a single case prefers ADR to get a quick judgment. I got an opportunity to meet
people that are absolutely calm and most of the times in good mood so they patiently listen to me,
give a nice reply and at times if they are interested , they try to assess my knowledge. I am learning
a lot from the arbitrators. I am learning how actual filing process works in the courts. I am gaining
valuable experience, and learning how to manage my time and how to organize work to maximize
efficiency.
