2. Identify the rules and protocols before/while and after doing physical fitness activity and
exercise; and
3. Give importance on following the etiquette in physical education.

8 RADIO TEACHER: Our lesson for this episode is all about proper etiquette in physical
education. At the end of this lesson, you learners will be able to identify the
different rules and protocols in physical education. So, keep your modules
beside you and get ready to be with me all throughout this lesson.

7 RADIO TEACHER: So what is an etiquette? I am sure that you have heard of the phrase “Online
Etiquette” during your computer or ICT class. As you can remember when we say
etiquette refers to the guidelines which control the way a responsible individual
12 RADIO TEACHER: As defined by the Merriam dictionary, etiquette is the conduct or procedure
official life.
1 RADIO TEACHER: Having proper etiquette is essential in all aspects of life and that includes
Physical Education.
RADIO TEACHER: Now, why do we have to know the proper etiquette in Physical
Education? Why does it matters? Well, first of all it enhances the social aspects of
relationship between people and helps us show respect for other people and vice
1 RADIO TEACHER: The first one is wear comfortable clothing. (PAUSE) You have to
choose your attire, shoes and equipment properly and check if this is appropriate for
the activity. Ofcoure you can’t wear tight shorts in running or in any physical activity

This will really help you be safe in doing the activity. (PAUSE) Just imagine
wearing googles in a marathon, for sure it would be hard for you to run.
1 RADIO TEACHER: Next is taking a warm-up and cool down before and after the activity.
This is essential because it will lower the risk of strains and sprains.
RADIO TEACHER: Fourth is be hydrated. You have to replenish extra fluids before, during

RADIO TEACHER: Last is to listen to your body. Just as how you listen to your heart, you
must listen to your body. Stop the activity and seek medical advice as soon as
possible when you are feeling unwell. (PAUSE) We only have one body, so we
