Bio117-A
Module 3

1. How many NADH and FADH2 are generated in cellular respiration for each molecule of glucose?
 There are 10 of NADHS and 2 for FADH2 that are generated in cellular respiration.
2. Describe the general flow of cellular respiration.
Cellular respiration is the aerobic process by which living cells break down glucose molecules,
release energy, and form molecules of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). Overall, this three-
stage process involves glucose and oxygen reacting to form carbon dioxide and water

3. Describe the general Flow of Photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants, some bacteria and some protistans use the energy
from sunlight to produce glucos from carbon dioxide and water. This glucos can be converted into
pyruvate which releases adenosine triphosphate (ATP) by cellular respiration. Oxygen is also formed.

4. Discuss the difference between Krebs Cycle and Calvin Cycle.

The difference between Calvin cycle and crab cycle are kreb cycle is a part of cellular respiration that
produces Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) and NAPH while the Calvin cycle are used Adenosine
Triphosphate (ATP) because its provide energy and also the NADPH and this cycle is light independent
reaction of photosynthesis.
