Journals are scored 1-100.

This is the rubric that will be used:

100-90 (A journals)

-Insightful

-Developed

-Accurate

-Considers the reading from multiple angles

89-80 (B journals)

-Insightful

-Perhaps not as developed as an A journal

-More or less accurate

-May focus on one idea thoroughly or several ideas not as thoroughly

79-70 (C journals)

-Not always insightful

-Perhaps lacks development 

-May demonstrate a slightly inaccurate reading 

-May focus on one idea or briefly discuss several ideas

69-below (D/F journals)

-Not overly insightful 

-Not overly developed 

-May be inaccurate 

-May discuss one or very few points 

-May refer to plot too much

-May contain unoriginal/plagiarized ideas or wording
