None.
C. Remove forward sleeve (2, figure 1) from torque tube assembly as follows:
(1) Grind slot on forward sleeve to a depth of 0.015-0.020 inch (0.38-0.51 mm).
Use thin cut-off wheel on hand held grinder. See figure 2.
(3) Tap chisel with hammer to break bushing apart. See figure 3.

(1) Inspect forward end of VSV torque shaft forward journal (1, figure 1) for high
metal.
WARNING
PARTICLES FROM GRINDING OPERATIONS CAN DAMAGE EYES AND
RESPIRATORY TRACT. EYE AND RESPIRATORY TRACT PROTECTION
IS REQUIRED.
(2) If high metal exists, machine or bench VSV torque shaft forward journal (1)
to remove high metal.
(3) Heat forward sleeve in oven at 450° F (232.2° C) for one hour.
WARNING
WEAR INSULATED GLOVES TO PREVENT INJURY WHEN HANDLING
HOT PARTS.
NOTE
Ensure puller groove slots on forward sleeve are oriented towards aft portion
of VSV torque shaft. See figure 1.
(4) Remove forward sleeve from oven and press onto VSV torque shaft forward
journal. Ensure gap between aft end of forward sleeve and VSV torque shaft
is 0.000-0.010 inch (0.00-0.25 mm). See figure 1.
F. Reidentify torque tube assembly per paragraph I.K. Material Reidentification. See
figure 4 for part marking location.
G. Reidentify torque shaft assembly per paragraph I.K. Material Reidentification. See
figure 5 for part marking location.
I. Repeat steps II.A. through II.H. for remaining VSV torque shaft.

Compliance with this Service Bulletin must be properly documented. The preferred
method of documentation is to directly enter the compliance date into the LM Technical
Documentation (LMTD) application at http://customer.geae.com. The “My Compliance
Info” link in LMTD allows owners of LM Aero engines and packages to enter dates
of compliance for Bulletins applicable to their fleet. The instructions for using “My
Compliance Info” as well as instructions for obtaining access to the LMTD application are
defined in Service Letter LM2500-12-01.
