ANNE’S SODALITY
Rules and By-Laws Update August 23, 2010

1) Dues- St. Anne’s Dues are $7.00 per year, due on July 26 th of each year. Please keep your dues up to date for
the full benefits of the Sodality. This will also help save postage for our Sodality. Three years or more will be
considered back dues. Penalty for back dues will be $10.00
2) Officers Election- Elections are held every two years. Vice-president serves two years and moves up to President
for two year, for a total of four years. Secretary and Treasurer will serve two year terms. President and Vice-
President will write up the St. Anne’s bulletin after meetings to be published each month.
3) Meeting Dates- Meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of the month, at 4pm. Meetings will be held in the
Church Rectory. The President may call special officer’s meetings for any urgent matters.
4) Mileage and Fees- Mileage of $0.50 per mile is paid to drivers going to special meetings of the Diocesan SCCW.
Mileage is paid for one way only. The $15.00 fee for registration at Annual SCCW meetings will be paid for the
Priest attending.
5) Religious Article Prize- Each year on July 26th, a religious article will be awarded from names of members who
attend the monthly meetings. Each meeting you attend you can have your name added to the prize list to be
raffled after the St. Anne Novena at the Annual Breakfast. The more meetings you attend, the more chances you
have to win. Limit on the gift will be $5.00. Please give the Sodality your support.
6) Basement Rental- Families can call the President or Vice-President for the basement and obtain the key.
Families will be given the bulletin of directions for the Parish Family Funeral Dinner. Paid-up members not
behind more than two years can rent the Basement for free for funerals of a member, spouse, or dependent
child- still living at home or in college. Members will need to get up-to-date with dues at that time.
A) Parish related meetings, classes or activities- FREE
B) Special receptions for members (no kitchen use)- $15.00
C) Family dinners for members -$20.00
D) Funeral dinners for out of town families- $25.00
E) Special receptions for non-members (no kitchen use)-$25.00; (kitchen use)- $35.00
F) Special meetings of out of town organizations (no kitchen use) - $25.00; (kitchen use) - $35.00.
Basement is to be cleaned immediately by anyone renting the basement. And it must be put back in
the same order they found it. Wash towels and bring back to the basement.
7) Volunteers- We will call for volunteers to help serve funeral dinners. The ladies of the Parish are asked to
furnish a salad or dessert for the funeral dinner.
8) Honor Guard- Members are asked to form an Honor Guard for funerals of deceased members after mass and
wear their St. Anne’s Badge. Badges can be purchased from the religious showcase at the front of the church.
9) Spiritual Growth- St. Anne’s Sodality will promote the spiritual growth of its members and St. Joseph’s
parishioners. Each year, beginning on July 18 th, the St. Anne Novena will be recited. A Mass will be held on July
26th, the Feast of St. Anne. A breakfast of coffee and rolls will be in the Church basement, Rectory, or local Café.
A) Promotes the Holy Family Prayer Group, each week, usually on Monday mornings from 9:30am-10:30am at
the Rectory.
B) Promotes Eucharistic Adoration on First Friday from 8:30am-9:30am.
C) Communion Sunday’s will be the first Sunday of the month. The St. Anne’s banner is to be displayed for
Mass. A St. Anne’s officer will put out the banner for Mass.
D) President or Vice-President, or members designated by the President, will recite the Rosary at the Parish
Wake Service for a deceased member.
E) Promotes donations to the Madonna Plan for the Diocese at meetings.
10) Monsignor Kruse Scholarship Fund- St. Anne’s Sodality promotes the Scholarship Fund each year by giving a
donation according to need, in April of each year. We encourage our youth to always keep God in their lives.
11) St. Joseph’s Church Bazaar- St. Anne’s Sodality promotes the annual Church Bazaar by making a donation, to be
determined by a vote of the members. We also promote the Bazaar by volunteering our time and talents to
make the Bazaar a success.
12) Prayer Petitions- St. Anne’s promotes prayers for all members and families of St. Joseph’s Parish, especially in
time of need, for the sick, or your loved ones in nursing homes or hospitals. Please notify a member of the
Prayer Chain with your request, and we will pray for your intentions each week at the weekly Holy Family Prayer
Group, and we will place them in front of the Blessed Mother’s statue.
13) Time and Talent- Everyone has time and talents. Membership in St. Anne’s is open to any adult female member
of our parish. Please support your Sodality by serving as officers or volunteers, and by attending our meetings.
We promote many Parish activities that foster the spiritual welfare of St. Joseph’s parishioners. We must love
and work together always!
