E-LEARNING: STUDENT INFORMATION ACCESS AND ONLINE GRADING
SYSTEM

Specifics of Research

Introduction

With the help of the student Information System the student records and information can
be manage easily. Student information System has the ability to scan student records such as
student status, grades and other information of the student. Student Information system includes
a capability to assist schools and to manage various operations such as student data, accounts and
viewing grades from previous semester. This student information system is essential to every
educational institution, they need a technology that will work for them and manage every data
and information of their students. This system is what they must demand. It will offer assistance
the end-users in organizing the records of students in an electronic way. The system has also a
search feature that permits the user to look the data simpler and quicker. A system that's essential
to supply data about that individual or a student with just simply pressing or clicking a button. In
Addition, According to (Gürkut & Nat, 2018) Student Information System (SIS) is one of the
key systems for facilitating the management and development of Higher Education Institutions
(HEI). Course advisors use the SIS to decide courses that the students will be based on their
performance, students use SIS to make online course registration, to check their timetable, exam
schedules, exam results and transcript. The results show that System Quality has positive effect
on decision making satisfaction and the Information Quality, which means information accuracy,
completeness, and relevance, content needs, and information timeliness, affect the overall
satisfaction of the SIS users. Previous research (Bharati & Chaudhury, 2004) cited in (Gürkut &
Nat, 2018) show that Information Presentation which means image formats, colours and graphics
in contrast to tables, Interfaces and incorrectly designed screens can badly affect users and cause
unnecessary work in decision-making . (Al Adwan, 2018) Conduct Ph.D. thesis about
Development of E-Learning in the Higher Education Systems in Jordanian universities, his study
aimed to assess the abilities of full-time students and faculty members of Two Jordanian
Universities to get effectively involved in E-Learning programmers.

Research Description

Objectives (General and specific)

To develop a system that will organize the data and information of the student effectively
To develop a system that will monitor the attendance of the students
To develop a system that will allow the users to access their grades and grades from previous
semester, Exam, Quizzes Homework and projects.

Specifically, this study aims to:

This aims to provide great quality system information that can help and provide great service to
the user in managing their data. As the result of the study Student information access and online
grading system met the needs of the users and its aiming clients.

Scope and Limitations

The information system offers more than just a class card functions, encoding the data and other
student information including the grades of the student. The system can save the time of the
workers especially to those in the registrar office because the grades of the student will directly
store into the database. Only the user in the department can access the information.
