RGX2 OFFSHORE FACILITIES


TRAIN 6 (WH6 and WH8)

 Contractor Internal audits of pressure test monitoring and piping pressure testing
completed without any major CAR or findings. Audits were observed by COMPANY
QA/QC Engineer.
 FAT of 2 No. 28” x 5000 Reduced Bore Ball Valves for WH8 was satisfactorily
completed at the Vendor’s premises in Italy.
 Hydrostatic and Gas Cyclic testing of WH6 Pig Launcher completed at the Vendor’s
premises in Italy, witnessed by COMPANY.
 Riser Pipe Coating Polychloroprene Procedure Qualification Testing carried out at APS,
Dubai
 Commence Riser Pipe Coating at APS, Dubai

 The following Inspection activities were performed at Jebel Ali fabrication yard:

WH6 Deck
- Fit-up, welding and NDE of MEG tank completed and released for static test
- Fit-up and welding of installed MEG tank primary support framing completed
- Fit-up and welding of access platforms in progress
- Fit up and welding of installed pipe supports and E&I supports in progress
- Fit up and welding of BOP framing structure, MOV access platform, pipe supports
and E&I supports in progress in plate shop

- Coating of WH6 MEG Tank and piping spools, secondary beams, stairs, lighting
poles & E&I supports and pipe supports

WH8 Deck

- Back-welding & NDE of diaphragm plate below crane pedestal adaptor completed.
- Fit-up and welding of access platforms
- Fit-up, welding and NDE of MEG tank continued
- Fit-up, welding and NDE of MEG tank support primary framing continued
- Fit up and welding of installed pipe supports and E&I supports in progress
- Fit up and welding of BOP framing structure, MOV access platform, pipe supports
and E&I supports in progress in plate shop
- Coating of piping spools, secondary beams, stairs, lighting poles & E&I supports
and pipe supports

WH6 & WH8 Piping

- Fit-up, welding and NDE of carbon steel, LTCS, clad, SS and solid inconel spools
in progress in pipe shop. 500 butt welds subject to RT & UT with two repairs due to
minor slag.
- Fit-up and welding of 10” and 28” Clad Spools continued at Pipe Shop
- Installation of 28” Production Manifold on WH6 Production Deck completed and
installation of 11” x API 5000 ball valves on Header in progress.
- Fit-up and welding of 28” Production Manifold for WH8 in continued at pipe shop
- Fit-up, welding and NDE of installed process, chemical injection lines, diesel fuel
line, utility water, vent line, hydraulic oil and closed drain lines in progress on
production deck of WH6. 46 Welds subject to RT. Air blowing and internal
cleanliness being checked prior to installation
- Pre-fabrication and installation of GRE piping in progress
- Pressure test of Vent and Utility Water test packs (VA-03 & WU-02) completed.
- Installation of small bore bulk valves on WH6 Production Deck including verification
of removal of silica gel bags and internal cleanliness in progress

WH6 & WH8 E&I

- Installation of site run cable trays, pulling of power and instrument cables and
dressing of cables on WH6 and WH8
- Installation of Control Cabinets and Panels in WH6 MCC Building
- Glanding of cables in WH6 MCC Building continued
- Nitrogen flushing of refrigerant tubing on WH6 MCC Building completed
- Fitting of weather protection (ss cladding) below WH6 Production Deck
- Copper brazing of refrigerant tubing on WH8 MCC Building completed

WH6 & WH8 Pipeline

- Welding Procedure Qualification for Pipeline Riser and Spool Welding continued
- Qualification of Welders for Onshore Pipelines ongoing
- Re-Qualification of (expired qualification) Offshore Pipeline Welders ongoing
- Fabrication of WH6 Subsea Wye Piece and Subsea Valves Skid in progress

AKG-2 (WH10 & WH11)

Accomplishments

 FBE Coating and Testing of 28inch Linepipe completed at Socotherm, Qatar
