Dear Amberkar Family,

Did you know that more than a million Americans are fighting a daily battle with blood cancers and every 3
minutes, another person unwillingly joins the fight? This year, I am so excited to announce that I am
participating in ​The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year​ (SOY) ​Campaign​ for the
Maryland Chapter. The SOY Campaign is a unique leadership development opportunity for high school
students designed to help raise funds for those with blood cancers. Donations can be collected between
January 15​th​ and March 6​th​, 2021​, and the student/team that raises the most will be named Maryland’s
Student of the Year!

As we know, my grandfather, whom I called “appa,” battled lung cancer for 4

years, and he fought hero-like. Joining LLS is important for me so I can help
other families see their loved ones live an extra day-in any means possible.
Our team, Cancer Crushers, is proud to support LLS and all those who battle
cancers-specifically blood, because leukemia is the second leading cause of
cancer death in children under the age of 20.

My goal is to raise $4000! In order to do that, I need your help. Entrusting you
to have my back by donating ​at least $100 to my fund​, I have sent you an
Under Armour Sports Face Mask with a high value; with this, I hope you have
the heart to donate the minimum amount of money stated earlier, but more is
extremely appreciated because every dollar will be making a difference to
patients battling cancer.

All proceed and donations will be used in the Maryland chapter of LLS. Your donation will go into blood
cancer research, supplies and medications for hospitals and patients, and healthcare for those who are less
fortunate and unable to pay for it. Think of appa, if he were still with us all, he would be so proud of you by
donating to a non-profit organization like LLS to battle cancers everyday.

On January 15, 2020, we begin accepting donations for Cancer Crushers through March 6,
2020. Please consider making a cash, check or credit donation during that time. You can
