Lab Practice Inform
INQUIRING:
1. Theoretical Framework
Give the antecedents or introduction related with the experiment performed . The information
includes all the used concepts and definitions in the practice. Ideas must be clear. (At least half of
a page)
2. Problem definition
Identify and present in a clear way the problem to be solved in the practice. State the problem.
3. Objective
Identify in a statement what?? , how?? and why??.
4. Hypothesis
A previous idea or prediction that can be tested to explain observations according to the previous
knowledge.
DESIGN:
5. Variables
Distinguish and explain the :
7. Procedure
Detail step by step, the method to follow up during the performance of the experiment.
8. Results
Include in this section the data obtained organized in a data table. Use this data to produce a
graph of results. Images or drawings from the experiment should be shown.
9. Observations
Write the detail and general observations made during the experiment that could help you to write
your conclusions.
EVALUATE
10. Analysis
This is the most important section in your inform. Study your results to give an interpretation of it,
taking in consideration the participation of the different variables involved. Analyze all the data
comparing with the investigated information. Check graphs, images, data tables to approve or reject
the hypothesis.Evaluate the method and data obtained.
11. Conclusions
Using the resulting data and the graphs generated, write the conclusions. Justify the reason of the
acceptation or rejection of the hypothesis, taking in consideration results and observations during
practice. It is important to mention the possible error sources.
Remind that conclusions always must to relate the title and hypothesis in your report. The correct
redaction of conclusions is one of the most important parts in your report.
“By analyzing the results, what we can see is the great variation between the data in the two
different substances used. After the experiment and reviewing the resulting data, I can confirm that
my hypothesis is correct because….”
A conclusion is NOT:
“I enjoyed very much this experiment because I learned too much and we worked very good in
team…”
