The Visayas-Mindanao Psychology Convention is a
biennial event for Psychology Majors across colleges
and universities in Visayas and Mindanao, Philippines.
This event has served as an avenue for discussions
and workshops, allowing the exchange of knowledge
and insights between experts and delegates.
However, due to the rapid spread of COVID-19, social
gatherings and face-to-face activities had been
restricted. This untimely phenomenon called for the
convention's postponement last year.

With the new normal's virtual setup and digital

platforms' rise, the convention will transpire despite
physical limitations, and we aim to realize the event
online. Emphasizing the power of collective hope,
binding us to become united as we find ways to
guard our mental health and thrive in the new normal,
the 2021 Visayas-Mindanao Psychology Convention
presents this year's theme:

'Pagkakaisa sa Pag-asa (Unity in Hope):

Building the Frontlines of Mental Health.'
Roused by the principal objective to amplify mental
health's importance both now and in the post-
pandemic era and to take a vital step in ensuring a
future generation that is mentally robust and
motivated, this convention shall be informative,
transformative, and consolidating. Ultimately, this
event shall provide the youth's impetus towards a
destination of flourishing as we celebrate hope and
unity, conquering the irony of despair and division
brought by the pandemic.
