Admissions Data Vol. 131
Admissions Data Vol. 131
This memorandum summarizes admissions data pertaining to Volume 130’s admissions process
conducted in summer 2020. The Volume 131 Officer Board does not have access to aggregate
admissions data from earlier Volumes. We will not be able to provide any additional data.
Table 1 and Figure 1 show the number of students who participated in Volume 130’s
admissions process by affinity group. Note that demographic and affinity-group information is
not considered as part of the admissions process. Table 1 and Figure 1 are based on self-
identified information, which was matched to applicants only after the admissions cycle was
over. Table 1 and Figure 1 do not include data pertaining to students who “noted-on” following
the admissions cycle.
Table 2 shows the distribution of Bluebook Exam scores (highest, lowest, and average) for
admitted applicants, not admitted applicants, and all applicants. Table 3 shows the distribution
of Critical Essay scores (highest, lowest, and average) for admitted applicants, not admitted
applicants, and all applicants. Table 4 shows the average Diversity Statement score for admitted
applicants, not admitted applicants, and all applicants. Diversity Statements are scored separately
from the Bluebook Exam and Critical Essay, on a scale of 1 to 15.
