MARKETING

Meeting - 23rd Oct 2020

PROS & CONS
Go Big or Start Humble
But...
PROS
01
define big
Faster brand awareness, means faster social
proofs built

02
A positive image of a big company. Which means there's a
big possibility the audience would automatically think we
know what we're doing: good food, good drinks

03
A possibility of creating customer database fast enough to
start loyalty programs. And of course, a bigger revenue in a
short period

04 Soon enough, we will find out which products work well,

which ones don't. Then make changes accordingly.

GO BIG
CONS
01
Unless the budget stays the same (or at least does not
change abruptly), most likely it's going to be a short span
of time. Questionable sales consistency and less repeat
customers

02 Our market is quite specific, it depends how big, but going

big possibly means wasting unnecessary resources/budget

03
The current circumstances corner us in a situation where
we have no idea what's really happening in our current
target audiences (buying power? lifestyle changes?) Going
big means taking the risk of missing the point.

04
We're at a stage of finding out what the audience would
think of our products/the whole experience. A lot higher
possibility of bad first impression. When something goes
wrong, a big number of people will never come back.

05 Overwhelmed staff

GO BIG
PROS
Humble doesn't mean

01
"only friends"
Lower risk of failures/wasting resources

02
The business growth will be more sustainable in a long run
and it can be going big as well, later, once we know exactly
what our target market wants.

03
Easier to analyse every step and shift the products
accordingly based on the feedbacks from our audiences
witt low risk of getting a bad reputation

04
An opportunity to train staff to sharpen their product
knowledge, upselling skills, and get them accustomed to
the new brand and new audience

HUMBLE
CONS
01 Slower brand awareness, slower revenue

02 Limited choices of strategy. The most efficient tools would

be digital only. Other than that, friends.
