Levels of Technology Integration:

X Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): This activity will keep the student engaged with the bright and bold
visuals that Brain pop jr. provides. The lesson will also provide expression as the student creates their own
drawing and story.

Lesson idea implementation: The lesson will begin in circle time with a quick song
https://youtu.be/vcUyDAO1Fk0 after we finish saying hello to the sun, moon, and stars we will read the book
The Sun and the Moon by Carolyn Cinami DeCristofano. After that each child will go to the comuter and
complete their lesson on Brain Pop Jr. The student will be accessed after they present their drawings and
explain to me what they are and mean.

Reflective Practice: I was nervous about using a website as the basis of my lesson plan but, it was extremely
easy and I hope effective.
