people in 1999. Overall, outbound travel wasis higher than inbound along twenty years. Whilst France is
the most popular country to visit by UK residents.

twenty years, . While overseasabroad travelling by UK residents rose significantly from 1979 to 1999,
around 50% from 12 to 55 million trips.

France become the most visiteding country by UK people with 11,5 million trips in a year, 1999. Whilst,
Turkey was the lowest number to visiting with only 2,5 million trips. Spain hads 9 million travel and
between USA and Greece difference only 0,8 million with 3,8 and 3 million, respectively.

The line chart shows the rates of travels to and from UK between 1979 and 1999, whereas the bar graph
illustrates the five enjoyed countries as travelling destination by UK residents in 1999. Overall, the
overseas travel soared more dramatically than the inbound travel with France as the most frequently
visited by UK people.

In 1979, the number of UK people traveling abroad was slightly higher than international tourists who
visited UK with 12 million and 9,5 million, respectively. On the following year, the increase of outbound
travel was dramatic and consistent. During two decades, it reached 55 million people or more than
400%. On another hand, despite the growth of inbound travel, it was only 27 million people visited UK in
1999.

Specifically, in 1999, UK residents chose France as the most popular country with 11,5 million visitors,
followed by Spain with 9 million tourists. The USA was visited by 3,8 million UK people, whereas Greece
had fewer UK visitors with 3 million. Turkey was the least enjoyed among the visited countries with only
2,5 million travelers.
