introduction

Oras at lakas, maging buong kalakasan
Nararapat ngang sa Kanya mo na ilaan
Gabay at pagmamahal Niya, ika’y sasamahan

because freedom comes with it. Freedom from the past
that haunts, freedom from any bondage that holds you
back, and freedom to embrace newness and become who
you desire to be.

In today’s passage, you can read about how Mary
Magdalene got caught in the act of adultery. And being
thrown in the middle of the crowd, with accusing fingers
pointed at her and people shouting “Death!” to her guilty

W E E K
face, I am sure that it was a moment when she felt the
most desperate to be free. She might have thought to
change and start over, if only she will be given a second
chance, a new beginning to turn things around. Half of her
thoughts might have already succumbed to

hopelessness—she messed up and so she deserved death.
“Let it come quickly,” she might have thought.

2 0 2 1
And in that tug of war between desperation and defeat,
Jesus—the only One who’s in the position to point an
accusing finger at her—pointed to the ground instead. She

J A N U A R Y
waited for condemnation, but hope came instead.

In the face of guilt and condemnation, Jesus gives grace. It

was a bold declaration of who God truly is and what He
came down for—to give a new beginning filled with hope
for the people He unconditionally loves.

As the new year unfolds, let God’s declaration of love fill

you with hope that your past, no matter how wretched, has
no power to hold you back.
A K O

Embrace God’s new beginning for you. Embrace the

freedom He died to give. It’s time to be truly free.

T W O
Tomorrow is not just the coming of another day, it is also a
fresh welcoming of the dawn. It’s the light, finally pouring
through the darkness of the night that has passed. It could
also be yourself, embracing the new, the restoration, and
all the great things that the Lord is ought to carry out.

W E E K
But before that happens, God is telling you to be clean. It’s
not just to repent and turn away from your sin, but also to
choose for yourself.

Panginoong Hesus.

J A N U A R Y
For that is necessary in facing another day. The light of the
day will expose the hidden, the very motives of your heart
and it’ll be better if you will not fear it, for you know that
you are in the path of His will.

Daily Verse: Philippians 1:6

Daily Devo: The year had changed but it seems you're still 4
chained to the past.

You might be forgetting an essential truth: you've been

saved and you're loved. You may have made bad
decisions, but He sees beyond that. Maybe you feel like

T W O
you're not enough and you second-guess yourself a lot, but
that doesn't bother Him. In fact, He can turn your pain to
purpose.

Beloved, please remember that the past has been taken

W E E K
care of and had been paid in full by the Redeemer. And
that's not because of who you are or what you do, but
because of who He is—merciful and gracious. He forgives
and wipes away your sins. His love renews and redeems.

Just keep trusting this truth. Eternity is too precious, for you
to stay stuck in the past. You can't change it anyway. And

2 0 2 1
there's only One who could straighten everything and make
things new—that is Jesus.

Give Him your cares, and whatever it is that holds you

J A N U A R Y
back. Give up trying to be perfect and being stuck in what
had gone wrong before. That's already forgiven, and He
promised to take care of everything. Let Him be your Lord
and Savior. Allow His gentle love to change you. Let His
grace transform your mind, heart, and soul—from glory to
glory.

Rest assured that He won't leave you, in all of this. Take

your time healing, but don't lose sight of your purpose. He

who brought you here, will also provide a way. He will see

God is faithful to His Word. And remember that you're

Daily Verse: Galatians 5:16-18

Daily Devo: How would you know that transformation had 5

happened to you, from the day you received the Lord?

Did you know that one of the signs that you are being led
by the Spirit, is if you are being changed and transformed?
Because once you are saved, God has already given you

T W O
the Spirit, who will become your guide and helper in your
daily lives, church ministries and in being an effective
witness of Christ. He helps you distinguish right from
wrong. He helps you walk into righteous. He helps you pray.
He helps you do what the Lord has given you to accomplish

W E E K
in this earthly life.

But how do you really recognize the works of the Holy Spirit
upon your life right now? Is it in being changed

systematically, or otherwise? You need to ask this yourself
daily because if you are not soaked in His presence, how

2 0 2 1
would your life operate without power of the Holy Spirit?
Paul has been very careful to remind these Galatian
believers to gratify the Spirit other than the desire of the
flesh. And it’s the same reminder that he wanted every

J A N U A R Y
Christian to know.

As years come and go in your Christian journey, you must

find yourselves better and better each day. More loving,
kinder, more committed and more passionate than ever
before. Because your effectiveness in ministry sometimes is
based on how you are being soaked in the power of the
Spirit. You must always seek to be led by the Spirit for

renewal comes once you welcome His power to work upon

your life.

your old self is gone. You are not living by your old self for
it is now the new you, the new person who is far better than
the old you.

T H R E E
Accepting Him is not just saying you did, and still not
change your ways. As you accept Him, you are now
changed and live in His righteousness. Have a new heart
that’s full of Him. A heart that follows Him, a heart that is
compassionate and a heart of a servant to His King.

W E E K
Change fully and give yourself to Him. Do not live in your
past. You will have a brighter future if you let Him manage
your life. For with Him, everything works together for good.

So brothers and sisters, live the new you, for your old self is

gone. Do not live in your past, for He has paid that in full.
Your past won’t hurt you anymore and you will have a great

2 0 2 1
life with Him for He loves you unconditionally.

Noong nakaraang buwan ba? Noong nakaraang araw o

Huwag kang mag-alala, kapatid. Hindi ka nag-iisa at

alam kong sinusubukan mo rin naman. Pero nais kong

W E E K

Daily Verse: John 15:5

Daily Devo: It’s that time of the year again when people 17
are the most motivated to change and grow into the
person they want to become. So they make resolutions,
lists, plans, and goals waiting to be crossed out once they
are finally achieved. The problem comes when the
motivation trickles away like a magic spell wearing out.

F O U R
Trusting in your own efforts can only lead to the road of
disappointment. Because people are born to be imperfect,
falling short and messing things up have been part of
living.

W E E K
The good news is, you don’t have to deal with it alone.
Jesus said that He is the vine and you are the branches.
This means that whatever fruit you will bear, it will come
from the vine first. And having the ability to acknowledge
Jesus’ work before your own on a daily basis is the start of

a powerful change. In Him, you have the full assurance that

2 0 2 1
whatever your hand will work on, success will flow out of it.
And in Him, you will stray from self-effort, pride will lose its
grip, and the glory will always belong to Christ alone.

The beauty of being as still as a branch is that it will cause

J A N U A R Y
you to cease striving and will cultivate your trust and
dependence on God. He is the One who will prune your bad
habits and wrong thinking, ultimately making room for
new potentials to grow and bloom.

Daily Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:17

Daily Devo: This is the season where most Christians would 18

go on writing their faith goal as they welcome another year
of their lives including here the desire to really grow in the
newness the Lord wanted them to become. But if they
would only try to check back those list, how well did it goes?

F O U R
To become new in Christ is not an easy mantra for every
believer, but a day-to-day surrender and obedience. To
continually take your cross up and follow Jesus. Since you
are still in this fallen world, the scheme of the enemy is to
still try to pull you back. There are things you need to let go

W E E K
of, for you to experience the fullness of His transforming
work upon you. You need not follow friends who do not
glorify the Lord. You need not follow beliefs that are not
instructed by the Lord. You need not follow your desires
anymore since you are sons and daughter of God; your

hearts and thoughts should anchor on heavenly matters.

2 0 2 1
But not everyone happens to obey this. They just shrug and
let all this slip and say, "There's grace out there, though.”
No wonder why some Christians live like the other way and
they are mostly missing the point of why Jesus died for
them. They are missing the point, that having experienced
J A N U A R Y
the grace of God, means becoming more and more like
Christ and not to use this grace as a license to keep on
sinning.

You have stayed so much in the darkness, and you must

decide wisely if you still want to stay or shut it out with the
final works of Jesus on the cross. So the next time you make
your faith-goal, invite God to do it for you by His grace.

back to thousands of years before to the present time, the

God has designed humans this way because that is who He

W E E K
whatever tree he sees—except for one. God also designed
it this way not to instil discipline, but to provide freedom of
choice. You see, even in our choices, freedom was given
freely. And when man fell to sin, God did not “tsk-tsked”

and regretted giving that freedom. Even before the
foundation of the world, God knew man will sin. That is why

before creating the world, He has already prepared a

In the beginning, humanity’s freedom and dominion over

Huwag mong sayangin ang ganitong pagkakataon

habang may hininga ka dito sa mundo. At alalahanin mo,

baguhin sa iyo, pag-uugali man o nakasanayang gawain

Sabi ni Pablo bago ang talatang ‘yan, “I have more reason

to put confidence in the flesh” at sabay inilahad ang mga

pagsama.

As you embrace this season ahead, may you also put it in
your heart, that it’s totally okay to be kind to yourself.

You just let it be,
and how awesome it’d be when you allow yourself to have
the same grace.

Press on towards the goal and you’ll finish the race strong.

Daily Verse: Jeremiah 29:11

banggitin pa ang mga pinagdaanan mo last year. Kaya
naman pasalamatan mo ang Diyos. Ipanalangin mo at
