WEEK 2 REFLECTION MEMO

Below are the three most important points from week 2


1. One crucial point learnt from week two is that employees' personalities influence how
productive they will be in an organization. Hence, managers should seek to study the
personality of their employees.

2. Another point is that employees who have high conscientiousness perform better at their
jobs, irrespective of their industry. However, an employee with conscientiousness should
also possess the other four factors of the five-factor model of personality: extraversion,
neuroticism, agreeableness, and openness to experience.

3. Besides possessing the five-factor model, thriving employees have an internal locus of
control, high self-monitoring, and high self-esteem. Also, successful employees learn
from their previous experiences. Knowing what one did wrong and learning how to do
better is a great virtue.
