Vocabulary
All of the words below refer to “Goal-Setting”. Define the words using complete sentences.
1. Goal~ a goal is a statement of your personal hope or dream for yourself. A specific step
you want to reach that takes a process.

2. Mission~ a statement of how you feel you would achieve your goal. Your mission is your
step In your goal to achieve.

3. Action Plan~ an action plan is the steps that you need to take to get to your goal. It is
used as part of your SMART plan to help you achieve them.

4. Vision~ your vision is the thing that you motivate yourself with, it is the dream you have
for your future that you want to make a reality of.

5. Priority~ the priority is the main objective involving your goals, for instance its a priority
to maintain a good GPA otherwise you will not reach your goal.

6. Motivation~The motivation is thing thing that helps you go on, if it becomes difficult in
your action plan to achieve something your motivation gives you the strength to continue
on.

7. Challenge~ a challenge is something that brings you difficulty in your journey to achieve
your goal, something like a hard class or a big exam that causes concerns and could
possibly stop you from getting or achieving your goal.

8. Ambition~ your ambition is your desire to do something and achieve it. It is your
dedication and your hard work that proves your intention.

9. Purpose~the purpose is the reason for doing things and continuing on with something,
more specifically the reason you are trying to achieve your goals.
10. Objective~ the objective is another way of saying your goal or is your goal, for instance
you r objective was the goal to being a ballerina.
