PROFILE

COMGUILD is the fastest growing media training center in the Philippines. It started in providing
conferences, lectures, seminars and workshops and international study tours on journalism for
communication students of different colleges and universities in the country. Through these
activities we encourage, educate and inspire them to be competitive in the field of broadcast
journalism and later on become responsible media practitioners. 

True to our mission, we have conducted numerous journalism and communication

seminars and conferences in different educational institutions in the country such as St. Paul
University Manila, De La Salle University-Cavite, STI University Makati, and national agencies such
as the Philippine National Police Region IV to name a few.

One of the major educational events conducted by Comguild yearly is the "Annual
Conference of Journalism and Mass Communication Students in the Philippines" with over a
thousand of students, educators and other members of the academe as participants at any given
time.

To further improve the knowledge and continuously inspire journalism and mass
communication students, the International Media Study Tours (IMST) in Singapore and Hong
Kong were also initiated. Through this endeavor student-participants were able to learn and
appreciate the latest trends, techniques and technology on broadcast media. The tours likewise
allowed them to touch base and interact with well-renowned reporters, correspondents, journalist
and writers of well-known news bureaus abroad.

With our unwavering commitment in educating students, COMGUILD now organize 4

national annual events for Masscommunication and Journalism, Criminology and Political Science,
Information Technology and Computer Science, and Business Administration, Advertising and
Marketing Students all over the Philippines.

 COMGUILD is also an award-giving body that recognizes the exemplary work of local
broadcasters and news presenters deliberated by a reputable Board of Judges comprised of highly
regarded educators, heads and the deans of different colleges and universities in the country.

Recently, COMGUILD started to bring the conferences, forum and seminars among
provinces and regions to be able to reach those students who weren’t able to attend the annual
events in Manila.
