Levels of Technology Integration:

☒ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. All products of learning are unique and
personalized. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator walking around monitoring the student-led
activity.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): For this activity I will put the students in pairs, and they will pick an
occupation. They will learn about their occupation and draw a picture of themselves. After they finish each
pair will present their drawing and their partner will explain what their teammates job consists of. This way
not only are they learning their own occupation but also explaining their partners occupation at the same
time.
Lesson idea implementation: I will start this lesson off by showing this video
https://youtu.be/ugsRzHMIF2o. After the video we will review with the storybook I created. After the
storybook I will divide the class in pairs. While they create their drawings of what occupation they want to
have. After they go over what their occupation does, they will explain to their partner what they do. After
the entire class presents I will expand the lesson outside of the classroom by having them find out what
occupation two members of their families members do.
