A. Project: Ranaw Youth Organization Summit

E. Rationale:
In order to harness the interdependency of aspiring young Meranaw leaders in the
province of Lanao del Sur in their common goal of fostering social unity as deemed crucial in the
midst of this pandemic, conglomeration of different organizations in the province through this
Ranaw Youth Organizations’ Summit is construed of providing collaborative leadership in
different fields and advocacies whereby fruitful convergence has been evident even during the
first conduct of this platform.
Ranaw Youth Organizations’ Summit (RYOS) is an annual convergence of youth
organizations and youth-serving organizations from Lanao del Sur which aims to provide a
platform for youth organizations to do knowledge-sharing, network-building and updating on the
plans of the provincial government for the youth.
The advent of this pandemic revealed to us the vital role of unified effort. Thereby, we’ve
sought the enormous revamp the convergence can bring in our community through concerted
action of young Meranaos. The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur through the initiative of
the Office of Board Member Jamil Faisal “Jeff” Saro Adiong and the Ranaw Youth Development
Council supported by Smart Communications, Inc. in their pursuit of introducing productive
innovations in times of pandemic, the great emphasis of bridging young leaders of today to
become leaders of tomorrow is thereby prioritized as we power through this constricted means
and therefore innovated our platform through its conduct virtually via zoom. Hence, in
continuation with its second year, 2nd Ranaw Youth Organizations Summit will be held on August
12 to 13, 2020 in line with the celebration of International Youth Day.

F. Objectives:
 To develop a network of like-minded youth-led organizations working for the same
objectives, with opportunities to develop skills, share knowledge and increase the impact
of good governance and civic affairs
 To empower Meranaw youth-led organizations and enable them to participate in the
decision-making process on the different levels
