Canara Bank offers Unified Payment Interface (UPI) app named “empower”. This app
empowers Canara Bank and other Bank customers to perform pay and collect
transactions using a single mobile app. Users can operate their multiple Bank accounts
using this single app. Virtual Address can be set for each of your Bank accounts and can
be used while collecting money from anyone. No need to expose your account number,
IFSC, Mobile Number to anyone. This app can also be used to pay and settle bills.

online card transactions.
 Safe & Secure. Available - 24X7. OTP can be generated when user is not in
mobile network coverage area.

Scan QR codes to install the app

Registration Process:
Download CanPass app from Google Play Store/ App Store and install it

Click on Register
Device verification is required for which click on Proceed
It will pop-up SMS to be sent for mobile verification manually
Once the device is verified, app is ready for generating OTP
App can be authenticated by Mobile Screen Lock
(Pattern / Passcode /Fingerprint authentication)

Authentication of transaction
You can do online transaction without even getting OTP through SMS. Two additional options
to approve transaction in “CanPass App”

1. Push Notification:
While doing online transaction, notification with t wo op t i o ns “ Pay ” a n d “ D e c l i n e” a l o n g
w i t h transaction amount is displayed on the screen.
Opt “Pay” option to authenticate the transaction using mobile screen password (Pattern /
Passcode).

2. Offline OTP:
In “CanPass App”, Six Digit OTP (one Time Password) is auto generated every 60 seconds.
This can also be used to validating the transaction.
