How to play - Derby on Ice

Rules:

1. A maximum of 5 teams are allowed on the ice. (4 from each team = 20 total

players).

2. Each team must have 8 players. (4 on the ice, 4 on stand-by)

3. In the event that a player is injured, another teammate must enter the arena, taking

on the position of the injured teammate.

4. No punching, kicking, or attacking.

5. If someone gets injured, the game does not stop, unless the injury is severe.

7. All waivers, and terms contracts, must be signed at least a week before a

scheduled game.

8. A passed fitness test must be signed by one’s doctor to play.

Overview:

One game consists of 3 rounds, however, 2 games will be conducted in one sitting, allotting up to

two final winners to be announced. Each team will line up, in order of game wins. If multiple

teams have not won at least 1 game, the teams will randomly be placed behind the teams that

have. All wins restart at the beginning of the season. Each round is around 5 minutes, however,

they may be shortened, if ruled necessary. After each round, players who are injured must be

checked, before allowed back on the ice. After the 6 rounds are conducted, the final winners will

be announced.

The Objective:

The goal of the game is to have all 4 teammates cross the finish line together, while trying to get

as many laps in as possible in the allotted time.

System & Scoring:

Each team must consist of a minimum of 4 players, however, each player, must have a

replacement in the event that one gets injured, or the team automatically loses. A round can be

won by a team that controls the front of the line and has the most laps. An electronic scoreboard,

keeps track of the players positions, as well as how many laps they have completed. If a player is

injured the replacement must start from where the player ended. After each round a tally will be

kept. (Each round is 5 minutes). All 4 players must cross the finish line together in order to win.

If even one player does not cross the finish line, with their team, it does not count for placing.

Instead of receiving a place, they will receive an ‘X’ on the scoreboard.

Tie Breaker:

In the event that the scores are tied, a final round will be conducted, and will determine the

winner of the game. Also, in the event that all teams receive an ‘X’ the game will not have a

winner, and will be marked as ‘X’.
