What do you think is the reason of not doing what we know to be right and not avoiding what we know

to be evil? Discuss briefly.

I think the reason of not doing what we know to be right and not avoiding what we know to be evil are
the following: temptations, we believe that what we are doing is good, and selfishness.

The first reason is temptation. Because of or desires and insecurities about our worth and identity we
are tempted to do evil things like pretending what and who you are because we think that they like
what they see. Because of that, temptation stops us from doing what is right.

The second reason for me is we believe that what we are doing is good. The best example for this is
legalizing prostitution in other country. They are continue doing it because what they believe that
prostitution is right because the government is legalizing it. But we should always remember that just
because it is legal doesn’t make it moral.

The third reason is because of our selfishness. We continue doing bad and avoiding what is good
because it benefits us even though it harms other people. What we only think is for ourselves.
