What Liberation means to me?

‘Hope is the seed of Liberation’- Jon Sobrino. The dictionary meaning of the
word ‘Liberation’ means ‘the act of letting someone free from imprisonment,
slavery, or oppression’. I strongly believe that Liberation to me is freedom,
empowerment, and letting to watch bigger dreams.

Firstly, liberation to me comes with the word ‘Freedom’ the word ‘Freedom’
has been used multiple times in many ways from protesting for freedom of speech
to complaining about the absence of freedom; we failed to realize the actual
meaning of freedom. Freedom does not mean we will violate someone’s feelings
by passing harsh comments, opinions or any sort of negative remarks openly on a
social media platform. Freedom shall be the right to help someone grow
unconditionally by pointing out the flaws and let them flourish in the future.

Secondly, liberation to me is empowerment. Let us stop saying the word

‘Women empowerment’ from today. We need the empowerment of humans as a
whole not being gender-focused. Whenever we are doing this by uttering the word
‘Women empowerment’ we are actually rectifying that women will be given
‘privileges’ but it shall not be like that, gender equality rights for women shall not
be a privilege but it is their rights as a human being. We need the empowerment of
humans as a citizen of an independent nation.

Finally, we need to let our people watch bigger dreams. We must remember
that we got our country Bangladesh in 1971 and all it started with a dream seen by
our Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After 49 years
and Bangladesh will be turning 50 this year, we as an independent nation shall start
watching bigger dreams.

A dream where we have potential people in the sector of Artificial

Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics. A dream where we have people who
think creatively and work wholeheartedly for the development of the nation. The
future is ours, let us work together in rebuilding our nation.
