Beach resort at kanyakumari

AIM:
To design a beach resort which demonstrates the culture and heritage of kanyakumari. To provide the pollution
free, cool, peaceful environment.
to design a cool spaces which gives them a sense of enclosure and belongingness to the resort and make them
feel comfortable.

OBJECTIVE:
• Encourage use of local practice, materials, art, craft, architecture, food.
• Encourage conspicuous consumption and prevent high consumption of energy.
• Encourage energy saving practices, water harvesting, use of solar and other natural energy source.
• Encourages low pollution generating practice and minimizing carbon foot print
• Hospitality for both locals and foreign tourists.
• To create an interactive platform for locals and visitors so that there may be of ideas and cultural demonstration.

SCOPE :
• the scope of the project topic are the gallery and work shop , resorts with recreation facilities.
• to develop a effective spaces.
• For tourism it will function as a luxurious resort which provides all the facilities within its boundry so as to make
their stay pleasing and exotic
• It will promote resort tourism and encourage foreigner to come and just stay in resort.
• It will enhance tourism sector of country.
• The resort will be a place to gain knowledge regarding green design as it is applying integrated energy system.
• to study and hold fast the costal regulations to protect the environment and the guests.
• Study of construction techniques to be applied keeping in mind the soil condition.

NEED:
To provide proper adequate infrastructure for the visitors who come from long distance. To establish Kanyakumari as a
major tourist spot.
resorts ,spa , generally subjects to seasonal tourism activities, should have positive image through many aspects, in
order to attract tourist and try to sustain it by time.
the increasing importance of sustainability in the tourism industry emerged the need for resort planning.
kanyakumari is one of the best tourist spot in Tamilnadu. Some residence are converted into resorts like lodges. There
is no cozy particular space for the tourist with recreational facilities. It will be a amazing space for many tourist to stay and
for many locals to get job opportunities.

LIMITATION:
The beach resort is planned to execute in the site at kanyakumari. There are very less amount of lodges for the
tourist to stay and very few museum are present. this project is limited to have energy efficient building with the special
study called sustainability.
CONNECTIVITY:
number of people visiting Kanyakumari are 7.85 lakhs.

airways – trivandatm international airport. Tourist increases by 50 percent than the last year.

• Proposed Beach Resort Project at Kanniyakumari District, Tamilnadu.

CRZ norms:
The construction beach resorts was allowed in CRZ-3.

Site details:
• According to MoEF sources, total plot area is 53,290 sq. mtr
• Total power required during construction and operation phase will be 30 KW and 75 MW. 30 KLD sewage
treatment plant is to be developed within the project premises.

• Through this Town Panchayat Mankudy - Nagecoil State Highways

Road runs
• Major part of the town is plane area. Hard red gravelly soil is found
almost on all areas.
• As per CRZ Notification, resort buildings are permitted 200m from
HTL. The elevation of the site where the buildings are proposed is
at 16 m. above MSL.
