Confidential Letter of Recommendation

Acting as the capacity of the Chairman of the Plant Pathology Department, I got the
opportunity to know Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Raza at professional competance. He
started his higher education journey from a small sub-campus of University of
Agriculture Faisalabad located in a remote area of Punjab district called Depalpur nearby
Okara. I came across him as a dynamic individual, enthusiastic professional, brilliant
learner and determined student throughout his academic career.

Mr. Raza has been stood himself prominent admist the best students of the university; his
potential to gear himself prominet has realized through hard work, active participation in
class and presentations. He endows with prodigious inter-personal communication skills
which makes him a throuogh professional pathologist either its academia or its farming
community in the field. That is why, we primarily recoomend him to field-visits in which
active one-to-one participation is reqired with the farmers regarding plant pathological
issues confronting by the country at the moment.

Mr. Raza is a commited and assiduous student that is reflected in scoring good grades
throughout his academic métier i.e. 80% in B.Sc. (Hons.) and 85% in M.Sc. (Hons.).
Moreover, he has many writing endeavours to his credit which cerebrates himself as a
distinguish learner. He has published a number of articles in both national and
international news journals and papers. He has also contributed extensive his scholarly
work which includes research papers and review articles in peer reviewed indexed
journals. He has also attended several conferences as key-presenter.

He is role model for the novice researchers and scholars; thereby new students of the
university oftenly approach him in seeking his guidance, sgaring ideas, reflecting on
issues and discussing the emerging problem of the country pertinent to his expertise. He
is also ggod at thinking intelligent plans and exceuting them efficently. He has been
demonstrated skills like leadership, perservance and capacity-building in various events
organized by the department and the university alike. He has the honour in representing
our department on various academic occasions and forums.
Mr. Raza is also an efficent biostatician who has command over latest statistical tools e.g.
SASR is one of them. Students across disciplines seek his help while employing their
statistical analysis. I have myself personally sought his help to analyze the statistical data
oftenly. Furthermore, he also introduces first time some latest statistical methodologies
for data analysis especially response surface and heatmaps which have never been
utilized before in plant pathology. That is why I observe him a renowned plant disease
epidemiologist in near future.

Mr. Raza possesses excellent administrative and networking skills. Currently, he holds
membership of renowned organizations like American Phytopathological Society (APS),
National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) and Pakistan Young Phytodoctor Forum.
He is actively serving to organize different programs in these organizations. He is
continuously submitting proposals for different projects offered by the APS. He has also
an experience of serving the department as teacher assistanceship (TA) to the faculty of
Plant Pathology department. Mr. Raza retains good scientific research skills that he has
demonstrated during his three months internship and M.Sc. (Hons.) research where he
has evaluated different biological treatments against the most notorious fungal pathogens
of wheat, and also find out slow rusting wheat cultivars to be included in further breeding
program to minimize the attack of pathogens for the mitigation of food security issue. He
has also developed disease predictive models by using response surface methodology to
forecast the wheat diseases in Pakistan for their timely management.

Apart from his academic career, he also takes part in extra-curriclum activities especially
comic stage-shows. He is also the senior organiser of docu-dramas produced quarterly by
the department under farming training program. Because of his driven skills and
capabilities both in professional and personal endeavours, Mr. Raza makes himself an
