PART ONE
EXPLAIN THE BANK OF HAPPINESS, THEN ANSWER: WHAT IS
HAPPINESS?
Bank of Happiness (BoH) is a forum where people can
help each other doing all kind of stuff, like walking dogs or
teaching. Nobody pays any money, it’s all free, an exchange of
favors in the moment of economic crisis.
Happiness is a feeling that can be subjective, for one person
maybe the sensation that everything in your life is doing right
(Money, Family, Love) or for another person is just day with no
stress in your favourite place.

If you had to choose a sport
to practice or watch, which
one would you chose? Why?
If I had a chance to be a sport
professional, I would like be a
volleyball player because I really
enjoy the dynamic of the game. I
like to watch NFL games (american
football league). I think it’s a very
emotional and competitive sport.
PART TWO
Who is your favourite actor?
Explain why you like him/her.
My favourite actress is Viola Davis.
She is the first black woman to win
the triple crown of acting awards
(Oscar, Tony and Emmy).
She is a very versatile actress, she
can be great in drama, fiction,
comedy or whatever she designated
to play.
Share a film you like a lot.
Explain why.
I really like “Parasite” (directed by Boong
Joon-ho). It’s a narrative about a poor
family that manipulated a rich family,
they get everyone to work at the house.
Then secrets and lies used in the acts
can be dangerous. At the same time,
strange things happens at the house.
The complex of emotions, the wonderful
screenplay, make a perfect atmosphere
for the audience.
 PART THREE
Write a letter to a friend or a family
member telling him/her you like him/her a
lot. Don´t forget to say why.

Dear Mom,
I usually do not tell you about how good you are. I
just assume that you know how important and
decisive you always are in my life. You are a perfect
example of overcoming, kindness, humility. I really
admire you for always doing right thing for anyone
and never expecting anything back, that’s so
incredible. I hope you know that I’m so grateful for
having you in my life. Love you.
PART FOUR
Tell Jenny and Rob´s lives according to
the videos we have watched.

Rob and Jenny are dating but they lived in different

cities. They were concerned about Rob’s departure to
London after a month in New York. Barbara, Jenny’s boss,
decided to offer Rob a job, but Jenny decided leave her job
before knowing the offer. Rob told Jenny the great news
(he is going to stay in NY with Jenny) and Jenny called
Barbara to undo the confusion.

"1984" - George Orwell
"1984" is a dystopian novel about totalitarian government that uses ‘The Big Brother’ to control
every aspect of people’s lives. It has invented the language ‘Newspeak’ in an attempt to
completely eliminate political rebellion; created ‘Thoughtcrimes’ to stop people from even thinking
of things considered rebellious. The party controls what people read, speak, say and anyone who
disobey will be vaporized. The main character is Winston Smith, who works for the Ministry of
Truth as a censor who updates history to ensure it fits the government’s present-day constantly
switching alliances. He falls in love with Julia and they start to feel a sensation about
transgression, freedom and rebellion.
I liked the story because it’s a very philosophical, reflexive and sociological narrative that everyone
should read and think about the way power and politics manipulate and dominate society.
