The Geothermal Type and Heat Pattern Planning in Subtitutional Estimatiob Of

Arjuna Mountain Welirang

Firdiana khoirunnisaa’

Earth has three main layers, which are outer core, the mantle and crust. The
outer core is approximately 32 km in depth. The mantle is about 2900 km in
thickness. The upper part of the mantle is actually solid rocks. While the bottom part
is liquid rocks. The deepest part of earth, which is crust, is approximately 3500 km in
thickness. The inner pressure in crust is intensely high, and the temperature is can
reach 600 0 C, the density is about 10.2 - 11.5 gr/cm. the area in arjuna mountain
welirang has a prospect width of 20 km and based on the data from east java
government in 2012 the potential it has in 280 Mwe with the survey explanation of
geology, geochemical and geophysics by the geology organization in 2010.
Estimating the geothermal potential needs some physical parameters which present in
certain formulas. There are two common methods which can be used to estimate the
geothermal potential, they are: ratio method and volumetrik. Ratio method is a
method which is specially used to estimate the potential of speculative resources by
using simple statistics. Meanwhile volumetrik is a method to estimate the potential of
geothermal in hypothesis resources class as substitute is proven by two approaches,
which are lumped parameter model and distributed parameter model.
