1. Main Purpose of the Job/Key Objectives

1.1 To provide comprehensive and professionally written proposal content that clearly
articulates the organisations value proposition.
1.2 To ensure that the company's vision, values and policies and procedures are adhered
to at all times.
1.3 Assist the Business Development Manager in developing a proposal structure.
1.4 Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Business Development Manager
against agreed deadlines, escalating issues as required.
1.5 Create PowerPoint tender clarification presentations to support the bid process.
1.6 Collate all new proposal content to form a bid library for potential re-use.

2. Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties:


The summary responsibilities and duties below are neither exclusive nor exhaustive
and the post holder may be called upon to carry out such other appropriate duties as
may be required by the Line Manager within the scope of the post and the competence
of the post holder.
2.1 Work in conjunction with the Business Development Manager to ensure timely delivery
of PQQ & tender documents for both internal & external deadlines.
2.2 Working as part of the bid team to source, collate and win competitive tenders.
2.3 Drafting, writing, editing, proof-reading PQQ’s and tender submission responses using
persuasive and positive language.
2.4 Monitor daily tender opportunities & portal notifications.
2.5 Administer & keep up to date with the content of information library.
2.6 Produce online presentations for Senior Management Teams.
2.7 Keep up to date with schedules & deadlines, tender costs & success statistics.
2.8 Provide administration & diary support in relation to all tenders.
2.5 Carrying out research on clients and projects to aid and tailor the written responses.
2.7 Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Business Development Manager
against agreed deadlines.
2.8 Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on site visits from and interviews with
potential clients.
2.9 Develop innovative ways of sharing and presenting information and involve the team in
the change process.
2.10 Understand and apply public procurement legislation and other relevant policies to
written responses

3. Special Conditions:
3.1 Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local protocols including for
example the Data Protection Act and confidentiality policies, organisational policies,
and Health and Safety at Work requirements.
3.2 Work within a flexible framework in order to meet the demands of the organisation
outside of usual office hours and travel as required.
3.3 Excellent time management and the ability to plan and prioritise your workload is
essential to meet the demands and required targets of this role.
3.4 Carry out duties in line with organisational policy on Equality and Diversity and be
sensitive and caring to the needs of others, promoting a positive approach to a
harmonious working environment.
3.5 Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
that you come into contact with through practice.
