ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

First and foremost, praises and thanks to the God, the Almighty, for His showers of
blessings throughout my third coursework assessment of English Language Proficiency
(MPU 3022) to complete it successfully. I thank God for all the opportunities, trials and
strength that have been showered on me to finish typing the coursework. I experienced so
much during this process, not only from the academic aspect but also from the aspect of
personality.
I would like to express my deep and sincere gratitude to my lecturer, Mr. Ahmad Masdil
Fazli Bin Mohamed for giving me the support to do coursework and providing invaluable
guidance throughout this coursework assessment. His dynamism, vision, sincerity and
motivation have deeply inspired me. It was a great privilege and honor to study under his
guidance. I am extremely grateful for what he has offered me as an educator.

I am extremely grateful to my parents for their love, prayers, caring and sacrifices for
educating and preparing me for my future. Also I express my thanks to my brothers for their
support and valuable prayers. My Special thanks goes to my classmates of V3 for the keen
interest shown to complete this courseword successfully.

Finally, my thanks go to all the people who have supported me to complete the

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The purpose of my coursework is to offer a view of social, political and economic changes
transforming the meaning and the orientation by work of teachers in education. Rapid and
profound social change has deeply affected our present-day teaching institutions. Many
professional groups now recognize the need for keeping their members up-to-date and
abreast of current changes. But, teacher education has an even large task. In their daily
work teachers are affected by and must relate their procedures to change and progress in
all fields. Teachers are seen as key actors of change within programmes and projects on
global learning. But all too often they are regarded in an instrumental way or as promoters of
some form of ideal global teacher. As this third coursework instructed me to do graphic
organiser from two type of academic text, so I did it beyond my creativity and designing
ideas. I selected a journal and an article as my academic texts which followed the instruction
of question. Moreover, I will be attaching the texts at end of this file at appendix section.

4.0 CONCLUSION
All teachers need to foster social change in their classrooms to create a socially just
society. Pre-service teachers and those already serving as professional educators need to
become agents of change as a moral duty and obligation to society. I hope my study
advances this change.
