Translate the following texts from English into Indonesian or vice versa, paying
attention to the textual meaning.

A. In the course of some 350 years of colonization, this important

segment of the population – the entrepreneurs – was eliminated and replaced by
the Dutch and other Europeans as well as the overseas Chinese. As the times

indigenous people of the Indonesia 4were assigned a very minor role as small
farmers, merchants and low ranking civil servants.
It is therefore quite natural that since Indonesian independence and
particularly during the past fifteen years, 5efforts have been taken to recapture, to
encourage and to strengthen the spirit of entrepreneurship of the Indonesian people
in order to mobilize the nation’s potential.
There are at present more Indonesian entrepreneurs and business enterprises
with better management, stronger capital, 6backed with the needed experiences
credibility and 7are greatly assisted by the creation of favorable conditions and a
congenial climate in which to function and grow, in tune with modern times and
modern methods.

B. When the Bedouin are in 1dire straits, the camel is killed for its water.
The camel’s fate, it seems, 2recapitulates Islam -- to give, to yield, to submit.

It is indeed an intricate equation, the camel 4a beast of binaries: wild but
domesticated; savage yet submissive; vile and vulnerable; patient as well as
perverse, walking down the long centuries 5over vast wastes in the very directions
of mystery that man himself feels he needs to follow. It is impossible to say
whether the camel 6can go through the eye of a needle. And yet this can proudly be
said: it bears its load.

C. When architect Sir Christopher Wren designed the interior of Windsor

Town Hall near London in 1689, he built 1a ceiling supported by pillars. After 2city
fathers had inspected the finished building, they 3decided the ceiling would not stay
up and ordered Wren 4to put in some more pillars.
England’s greatest architect didn’t think the ceiling needed anymore
support, so he pulled the fast one. He added four pillars that do not do anything—
they don’t even reach the ceiling. 5The optical illusion fooled the municipal
authorities, and today 6the four sham pillars amuse many a tourist.

Dalam perjalanan sekitar 350 tahun penjajahan, segmen penting penduduk ini -
para pengusaha - disingkirkan dan diganti oleh orang Belanda dan orang Eropa lainnya
serta orang Cina perantauan. Seiring perkembangan zaman, masyarakat adat Indonesia
hanya diberi peran yang sangat kecil sebagai petani kecil, pedagang dan pegawai negeri
sipil berpangkat rendah.
Oleh karena itu, wajar jika sejak kemerdekaan Indonesia dan khususnya selama
lima belas tahun terakhir, berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk merebut kembali,
mendorong, dan memperkuat jiwa kewirausahaan bangsa Indonesia guna menggalang
potensi bangsa.
Saat ini terdapat lebih banyak wirausahawan dan badan usaha Indonesia dengan
manajemen yang lebih baik, modal yang lebih kuat, didukung dengan kredibilitas
pengalaman yang dibutuhkan dan sangat terbantu oleh penciptaan kondisi yang
menguntungkan dan iklim yang menyenangkan untuk berfungsi dan tumbuh, selaras
dengan zaman modern dan metode modern.

Ketika Badui berada dalam kesulitan, unta dibunuh untuk diambil airnya.
Tampaknya, takdir unta adalah rekapitulasi Islam - memberi, menyerah, tunduk.

Ketika arsitek Sir Christopher Wren merancang interior Balai Kota Windsor dekat
London pada tahun 1689, ia membangun langit-langit yang didukung oleh pilar. Setelah
bapak kota memeriksa bangunan yang sudah selesai, mereka memutuskan langit-langit
tidak akan berdiri dan memerintahkan Wren untuk memasang beberapa pilar lagi.
Arsitek terhebat Inggris tidak berpikir langit-langit membutuhkan penyangga lagi,
