GREETINGS
How do you think people greet each other in these countries?
In Chile people usually shake hands. Women greet both male and female friends
with a kiss on the cheek. Chilean men give their friends warm hugs or sometimes
kiss women on the cheek.
Men bow slightly and shake hands in Korea. Women do not usually shake hands;
they also bow. Men pat each other on the back in the Philippines, but the everyday
greeting for friends is a handshake for both men and women.
People shake hands when they are first introduced. Friends and family members
often hug or kiss on the cheek when they see each other.
In Finland they greet each other with a firm handshake.
