HOW DO I EARN CREDITS?

• 5 credits, per class, per semester


• 30 credits per semester (35 if you are in a 7th period)
• Earn a grade of D or better
• Semester system
– Grades do no “reset” at quarter
A-G REQUIREMENTS

(UC and CSU's) require students
complete to be eligible to apply for
admissions

WHAT IS ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)

• Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by College Board that offers college-level
curriculum and examinations to high school students
• AP Courses are designed to attract and challenge students who have strong
– Reading, writing and thinking skills
– Who work well in a demanding classroom environment
• What is the difference between AP course and a college-prep course?
– AP moves at a faster pace
– Has higher expectations
– More rigorous curriculum
– Offers students the ability to receive college credit by passing the AP Exam (with a score of 3 or higher)

• Re-order rankings: Drag and drop ranked
course to desired location

• Remove course from Ranking List: Click

• Reset: Return to most recently saved
